After experiencing the misfortune of becoming 'unfit to fly' and being more or less forced into medical 'retirement', followed by a lot of trial and error to improve my health, my life drastically changed. Actually, it made a 180° turn. Since I come from a medical background and a family who believed in Nature's Pharmacy, I decided to use the education and knowledge. I qualified as a Naturopath, subjects: Biofeedback, Neuro-Electro-Anatomy, Herbalism and several other therapies. In the following 20+ years of research and private practice, I gained an in-depth understanding of the mind-body connection, neuroscience, nutrition and the principles of quantum physics.
I then became involved in scientific research for the campaign 'improve the quality of aircraft cabin air' and began helping victims to understand their ill-health following a poisoning they were not aware of.
In 2013 I founded the 'Aerotoxic Team', a website publishing evidence, testimonies, giving advise and support, science and news. I report and spread the news via social media portals and network internationally while working alongside other experts, scientists and many 'clean cabin air' advocates. Sharing information, networking and uniting is crucial in the effort to make changes, hence my initiative and continued efforts.
In 2015/16, I published my first book in two languages, in which I talk about my 'aerotoxic' journey. It describes not only parts of my flying career and life which has many colourful high-lights from my travels, it also helps understand what actually causes Aerotoxic Syndrome. I provide guidance to help with the health issues aerotoxic victims suffer from and many tips on how to regain at least some well-being, which can be a long and painful process. My third book (2019): "TOMB IN THE SKY - Aviation's Wounded Canaries" is now available as a paperback and as Kindle at AMAZON.
I don't only write. I love art and have dabbled in oil-painting and a lot of pencil sketches since childhood. Nowadays my art work is becoming slightly more digitial since I am often asked to help with website designs and development. Due to being bi-lingual I also do quite a bit of translation work, at the moment for www.AnsTageslicht.de apart from translating my own publications.
Life now? I retreated from the modern world which has become increasingly saturated with chemical pollution everywhere. Polluted air is unhelpful in my quest trying to improve and regain some of my health. I now live in a beautiful, very secluded area in the Swiss Alps with my little dog Dolly > meet her here<.
Please read and share articles and posts with friends and family; and of course also read an introduction to my books. Some of my articles are published at AcademiaEdu. Every sold book helps me a little toward maintaining the flow of information and the campaign for better air quality in aircraft.
Join me on Facebook and help spread the awareness with a 'like' on > Aerotoxic Global Network < - thank you! Free eBooks are waiting for you here.
Wishing you always happy landings, fume free flights and good health.
